Learn More About Think Revival

“Revival is the visitation of God which brings to life Christians who have been sleeping and restores a deep sense of God’s near presence and holiness.” -J.I. Packer

Purpose

Our purpose – the reason why we exist as a ministry – is to create an environment conducive to historic revival by helping people to be thinking and talking and praying and longing for this.

In these days of pre-Revival, many Christians lack the basic hunger for God’s awakening touch.

But, more than that, most don’t even know what revival looks like. It is simply not on their radar at all. This needs to change.

Vision

Our vision is to be an powerful catalyst for historic revival to break out here in this city and beyond.

This is where we are headed.

Mission

Our mission is to humbly pursue an outpouring of revival through
1. Fanning the flames of prayer for revival citywide
2. Cultivating & encouraging a family group of revival-minded people
3. Telling the stories of God’s revival work in the past and the present

All this is at the core of the task God has given to us.

Our Core Values

Amplifying Christ and the Gospel to the lost in all we do. (Revelation 5:13)

Freedom in and surrender to the Holy Spirit to lead us and work in us. (Acts 13:52)

Loving people for more than what they can do. Love one another deeply. Love well. (1 Peter 4:8)

Never forgetting to bless the Bride of Christ. Serving the church. (Galatians 6:10)

Embracing the creative spark God has placed in all of us. (Ephesians 3:20)

We need revival now more than ever. The stakes have never been higher. (Psalm 85:6-7)

FAQs

We believe revival is a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit initiated by God in His specific timing and in specific places. We, the Church, can seek Him and pray for revival, but God alone knows exactly when. Historically, revivals break onto the scene under certain conditions: when society has sunk to new depths of darkness, when the Church has fallen asleep and grown cold in its love for Jesus, and when a faithful group of believers start to long for and humbly cry out to God for an Awakening to turn it all around. By these criteria, I would dare say we are edging very close to the time when God will say, “Now is the time!”

Revivals are more than a bunch of tent meetings. They are more than a burst of intense emotion in the crowd. They are when there is a manifest outpouring of the Holy Spirit in a fresh and powerful way upon His people and upon a region. What are the clear signs of this? Deep genuine repentance. Honesty that refuses to play spiritual games. Hunger for more of God Himself. A distaste for mere religion. Intense prayer that resonates with God’s heart. Attentive trust in and obedience to His Word. True unity among many churches. A renewed zeal for the lost. Supernatural love for one another. These are the signs seen throughout history right before a great Revival erupts or during the time it is sweeping across a city or nation.

1. Commit yourself to live by faith every single day. Let your life be set aside for Father God’s plans and purposes.

2. Begin to pray. Pray for God’s Kingdom to come. Pray for the drowsy Church to be awakened. Pray for God to revive His people. Find others to pray with you in this way. Believe prayer matters and that it is worth making a costly sacrifice to pray for revival to come.
